Our Policies:
Please let us know 48 hours in advance if you need to cancel your boarding reservation so we may rebook or modify your reservation if we can accommodate your needs.
For first-time reservations, we do require written verification of updated
vaccinations as follows: Rabies (puppies under six months are exempt), Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella (kennel cough- cannot be more than six months old, must be completed 2 weeks before boarding dates if not done within the last 6 months), and your attestation that your pet is also up to date flea/tick prevention. This is for the protection and comfort of all pets and humans, as the property is wooded. This includes you when your pet returns to your home. Please arrange to drop off your pet with us on the first day of your reservation at the agreed-upon time. You will not be charged an additional day if pickup is arranged before noon on check-out day. If your pet is not picked up by noon, you will be charged full daycare fees if picked up after noon.
Suppose your pet is not picked up on your agreed-upon appointment day. In that case, your pet will automatically be boarded for the night at 7:00 p.m., charged the appropriate boarding fee per the website and charged for emergency feeding (if out of food) based on pet size and weight before your pick-up. Your pet may be picked up 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. the next day. If your pet is not picked up by noon, you will be charged full daycare fees if picked up after noon.
Please provide individually packaged portioned food for your pet with written
instructions on how you feed your pet. For example: Please feed my dog one zip lock bag full of kibble twice daily, once in the AM and once in the PM. or Please feed my dog one zip lock bag full of kibble with two-level spoons (spoon provided) of moist food in the AM and one can of moist food at noon and two treats, then feed one zip lock bag of kibble with two-level spoons of moist food in the PM and one pill from the pill bottle labeled XYZ at 5mg. **Please be as specific as possible so we don’t have to call or text you to clarify.
Please feel free to bring your pet’s favorite bed, blanket, and toy(s). This is not required but recommended for their comfort and enjoyment on vacation! We have a crate for him/her to use during their stay if they nap in the crate during the day and/or at night. When we are required to step away to run an errand, shower, or eat, your loved one(s) may take a nap in the crate depending on behavior such as being potty trained and/or other boarders in the home. Otherwise, they may be chilling in the great room. It all just depends. We will be happy to administer any medications, including shots, free of charge.
Please bring all instructions necessary with the medical treatments needed.
I do request you bring food for your pet because otherwise, it causes intestinal upset and typically diarrhea. Being away from home and you are already upsetting enough as it is. If, for some reason, there isn’t enough food or we run out, I do have Premium Dry Kibble available for an extra fee (emergency Premium Dog Kibble $3/meal). I recommend you include a few extra bags of dry kibble, canned food, or whatever food you feed your pet to ensure we don’t run out of what your pet is used to eating to keep your pet as comfortable as possible
while you’re away.
Please bring:
The name and number of your vet clinic in case of emergency.
An emergency phone number in case we need to contact you.
Any medications that your pet needs. Written instructions if not on labels.
Food: individually packaged, and portioned. Written instructions.
Leash, collar/harness with identification tags.
Optional: favorite bed, blanket, toys, and anything else that will make your
pet comfortable and feel at home during their stay.
